Ice Armor Gloves info

Has anyone used these in the field? Do they keep your hands warm and stuff when grabbing minnows, working w/ tip ups, etc.

I like the gloves. They are not as warm as waterproof hunting gloves that contain lots of thinsulate, but are adequate for moderate temperatures. When you get them wet, they are significantly cooler. I haven't had an opportunity to use them in temperatures much below 10 degrees, but I suspect they might be a little light for the cold this weekend.

I have had them now for a couple of months, and in general, like them. When it's around 0 they aren't the warmest gloves I own, but since they are more light weight than the gloves I wear when it gets that cold you have a lot more dexterity with them.

They are waterproof, and I've never gotten wet hands with them, but when they get wet the entire glove gets wet, but the liner by your hand doesn't, so they get heavier and stiffer than other waterproof gloves I have.

To summarize, I wear them when getting things setup, etc. But if I were going to sit out in the cold and fish with them (without a house) I'd look for something else.. they won't keep you warm when it's really cold out...

I agree with what's been said. I got mine for Christmas and have used them several times. They're not the warmest glove out there when the temp really falls, but they are waterproof and work for average temp days. I use them for setup and run and gun missions. So far, no complaints! They're pretty dexterious (spelling) and work well when using the rod/reel.

hovermn- "Dexterous" I think is the word you were looking to use, but I knew what you were saying

I picked up a pair at the Ice fishing Expo down in St.Paul and have used them a handful of times. I've used them on days where temps were between 15-30degree's. Not bad for running and gunning. I think they do a nice job and they do a good job of keeping the hand dry when dipping it into a hole or grabbing for minnows.

Though I have not used them in temps. similar to what we are getting now!

I guess it's not fair for me to say they work great for me because everyone has a different comfort level with cold.

On the other hand, my soon to be father-n-law bought a pair and hasn't been happy with them. He uses them for hunting pheasants because he is still able to pull the trigger w/ glove on. But his hands get cold.

Thanks for the info guys, I wouldn't expect them to be too warm but if it is very cold it would be good to throw them on when outside and having to setup tipups and stuff. I think i would have my warm mitts for warmth.

I may pick up a pair if I can find them on clearance.
