Ice house off rule?????

With the synopsis incorrect on the game fish season ending mid feb, has the overnight house off date changed as well witht the new legislation???? I know we can fish to the end of Feb, but when do we have to have houses off daily? Thanks

South of Hwy 2 they have to be off on February 28th. North of that line they have a couple more weeks.

whats the rule with portables? am i not allowed to have my house up after midnight then? or can i use my portable as long as i am fishing in it?

Description:

Ice houses must be off the ice by midnight each night south of MN highway 200 and US Highway 2.

I also checked the regs in the PDF file and it says.

A line(basically from Moorhead to Duluth) Hwy 10 to hwy 34 to hwy 200 to hwy 2. Houses must be removed by midnight the 28th, south of that line.

Why two different descriptions is beyond me.

I think the top one is a general description that works for most people, but I imagine there are some folks close enough to said line that need a more detailed description.

As long as your using it you can stay out there. You can also still use your drop downs as long as you take it with you when you leave. They just want all the perms off.

Sorry, I should have been more specific... the old line used to run along hwy 2; now it runs along US 10 to MN 34 to MN 200 and US 2 to the East. The main change occurs in NW MN
