Prime time for yotes all

Just talked to my uncle this weekend, he lives in yote infested country. Anyway, the breeding season must be kicking off. They've been howling and yippin like crazy everynight. Plus, he had one making a ruckus all afternoon by his house, the thing finally was out in his hay field about 3 in the afternoon - he missed it! Anyway, this happens every year about this time and its looks like its underway, so get out hunting if you can. Its like the yote rut, about the only time you'll actually see them cruising during the day in most areas.

Was out last weekend and saw a group of three running around. Wasn't able to get a shot cause some (Contact US Regarding This Word) came a shot at them out of the window.

I've always wanted to shoot some yotes but dont know what to do with em after the kill. What's the next step after skinning? I'd like to some predator reduction in my duck hunting spots.

Next step is to freeze and sell them unless you want a rug or mount. Just make sure the hide is more or less perfect or they aren't worth squat. Maybe make a cheap/homemade coyote decoy out of a less than good condition hide. Tan it first or have it tanned.

The Sunday Mpls paper had an article saying that a group of hunters in Wheaton, Minn. have gotten 50 coyotes already this winter. Keep wackin them dogs.

I wouldn't doubt that number. There are a lot of dogs around that area. Keep shooting them and keep seeing the pheasants numbers on the rise.

The boys back home have 91 dead coyotes so far this year.

Near Eleva, which is about 18 miles south of Eau Claire. Would love to run that area with hounds, buts its right on Hwy 93 which gets lots of traffic.
