This particular area falls into 3 different regional categories. I am just hoping to kick up a flag for the search feature. I have tried to check old posts for this area and found them in the Remer,Longville and Brainerd If you do fish or hunt in or around this area log in. State which geographic forum you use. Hopefully the search tool will help kick out this post for others interested in info about this particular geographic area. I think we are kind of the the dead zone in cell phone coverage.

I would agree that this is a specific area, Fifty Lakes included. I find posts for this area in Aitkin, Brainerd, and Remer Areas, but there are so many lakes specific to this little nugget of Minnesota that I would feel an independant forum is in line. I hunt and fish this area hard and it is near and dear to my heart grin.gif!

I've posted and viewed info in all, so I agree that another forum for these areas would be helpful. I have a cabin in Outing on Roosevelt.

Won't be making it up, but I think the annual ice fishing tourney is this weekend on Lawrence. Please post any results if someone goes. good luck

I am in Outing most weekends. I suggest we post in the Brainard lakes area for now. I will probably not fish in the contest. My permanent house is on Lawrence because of poor ice on Rossi. I plan to be out chasing the elusive walleye Sat. Anyone know how to see about getting an additional link.

I havn't heard anything about lakers. Ice has been poor this winter so not a lot of activity out there. I only had 11 and 1/2 inches where I was fishing last weekend. I would think with this cold spell the ice should be better for pulling a house out(and then off).
