On my camera there were holes for bolts for a "fin" to use in the summer, I slipped a zip tie through the hole and around the cable to hold the lens in a downward position. Don't know if that is the same as yours.

Good Luck!

You can slide the ballast weight forward, in order to get a slightly down view. This may offer you a better overall view rather than straight down.

Also, like mentioned, you can use some type of tie and tie the back fin to the cord. I haven't tried, yet, but a ziptie might work the best, in order to slip it on and off the back fin; depending on what angle you want to view.

No way, the cable doesn't come close to fitting thru the notches. I really want to downview with my Marcum 350 but even the Marcum customer service dept wasn't able to provide any informaion other than to say just "be creative" with the camera.

Well, being creative isn't to difficult tongue.gif Using the photo above, run the cable along the top of the fin and tie-wrap it the top of the fin and 1st notch. Tie-wrap it tight enough to hold but loose enough to slip back off if you want to view horizontally again. The tie-wrap would stay on the cable.

I was also monkeying with it last night and discovered if I wrapped the cord with a twist around the weight between the housing and the weight it would hang almost verticle. I don't know of a better way to describe it, but i will try and take a picture tonight and post it here. then if I cable tie it off like Dave said, it should almost verticle.

Of course with the lovely weather we have today and tomorrow, I doubt I will have many more opportunites to try it out. Guess I will have to try it out in the hot tub........ smile.gif
