Portable fabric repair

Since I didn't make it the Southern FM get together this weekend, I had a chance to clean out the portable. I noticed that I must have had a flap of fabric sitting under something the rubbed a thin spot. It's not a hole, but you can start to see light (bright spot).

I tried to search the site for other discussions on this topic but came up empty. Does any know of an adhesive patch to repair the fabric. I am looking for something to keep this spot from turning into a hole.

I used some iron-on patches on my portable 3 yrs ago and they have held up great. You can pick them up any place that sells fabric.

I always use duct tape. But i am thinking of trying the gorilla tape from now on, have had great success with their glue so i figure the tape will be of the same quality.

I picked up some "Tarp Tape" at Menards. Probably not as long term of a fix as sewing on a patch, but it's held for two years on mine so far. The one thing I like about it - is that it is the same color as my fish trap so it doesn't stand out.

I've used Tear mender or tear grease before and it works great
