Electrical Fan Plug for Mr. Heater Big Buddy?

Does anyone know what size mating connector is required for the fan on the Mr. Heater Big Buddy? I want to wired that up to a battery (w/voltage divider) inside my portable so I can use it from time to time on those really cold days. I've tried a few that look close in size but all were too big.

If anyone has done this and knows what size it is please let me know.

Couldnt you use the plug in apapter and buy the cheapest inverter to hook to battery and just plug into inverter

Yes that would work...but that is probably a $30 solution. Mine would be closer to $3.00 with a connector, some resistors and some wire,...not to mention the additional losses ocurred in the power drops across the converter and the power supply.

I have one of these, but have not had to use it since my

permanent is still at home. When I do get around to

using it in the perm, I plan to find a 12volt fan that

will fit the enclosure,and run it to my 12v battery.

Response from Mr. Heater:

Radio Shack has the adapter plug. The plug (Radio Shack #2731708) is

a3/32" (2.5mm OD) submini plug.

We were unable to source the AC adapter until after the manuals and

boxes were printed. The change has already been made for next year's

production.

I realize this wasn't exactly your question but I thought I'd throw it into the discussion anyway. Last year I was able to make it the entire season on the 1 set of D batteries powering the fan. They seem to really last quite a long time. Just FYI I guess. Good luck.

I was surprisetoo how long the batteries are lasting. I've got over 20 hrs into my first set and they are still going strong.
