Now that I am realy getting into this bass thing with Plastic I have found a problem. How in the heck do you keep all of this seperated? I tried a Plano soft sided plastic holder with the plastic sleeves Rip Off. Tried freezer bags in a tool bag, just can not seem to get a good system going any help?>>>later the load

seems like you have tried several of the options; i just keep mine in the resealable bags they come in and store them in a soft sided bag and keep this in the boat. several of the guys ( that buy thier plasics in bulk) store the extra ones some where dark so they keep, and then place the ones they want to use in the plastic boxes where you can keep all the styles, colors seperate for fishing.these can be stored in a boat, or placed in a soft sided tackle bag for fishing.

I use the same box as Deitz. For plastic's I use 19 boxes and for hard baits (jigs, hooks, cranks) I have 14 boxes. I also have a small plastic box, that looks like a miniture laundry basket, that sits in the front locker, I keep all the bags of loose plastics that I'm fishing with that day in it, it's just more convenient than digging into one of the plano's.

I store mine in Plano 3700's as well. One for tubes, one for worms, one for trailers & grups, and one for lizards & craws. The last one has all my terminal tackle (jigs, weights, hooks, etc. All fit in a Bass Pro Shops storage bag made for the Plano boxes. It has a shoulder strap so it carries like a duffle bag and I love it. I tried the soft binders with the zip-lock bags in them once, and they are a mess! Everything turns greasy.

B for B: I usually take all my plastics out and place them in the boxes. Some of my go to plastics I purchase by 100 count and they sit in the little basket. Also, I have 3 half/gallon plastic screw top jars, I put my jig trailers and brush hogs and senko knock offs in these jars and pour the cheapest fish scent I can find over them.

I like the idea of using plano boxes. I will try it out this season. My concern, however, is that the plastics will not store as well in the boxes as they do in the original ziplock package they came in. Do you guys notice any loss of quality?

The only problem I've had with using plano boxes is after about 2 years of them in it, the boxes start to warp and change color. I have one I used for tube baits and the lid on it is so warped that it hardly closes. I tried it and now im going back to the bags and putting them in the Falcon worm bags. Just a heads up.

If you are worried about baits drying out or bleeding togather get some Plano 3730's they are twice as deep than the 3700's so you can keep your baits in their original zip bags and still organize everything, those are what I use.

p.s.(they have the yellow flip latches. cool.gif

I just bought Falcons plastics bags at Cabelas yesterday. You can get 40 bags in each bag and they seem very durable.Have zippers and a carry handle, made of the same material as the soft sided tackle boxes. They have them in their fishing catalog. They were about $11 a bag, the smaller bag was about $8.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
