Well, I'm eating my previous post.

I was set on Stihl, but as I shopped around and dealt with several dealers....I ended up looking closer at Jonsered. The Stihl people tried to talk me into buying a commercial grade saw for over $600. Claiming the saw I was interested in wouldn't work well.....geez, I just need to cut firewood. confused.gif lol

I learned that a local/neighbor repair shop sold Jonsered, and I ended up buying one. I compared all features and decided on a Jonnie. The dealer assured me it should work fine for my needs, and if it doesn't within 30 days, bring it in for a refund or exchange. That's service!

Well the 3 that have been mentioned are all good. But my experience with Stihl they always seem to be tough starting and cold blooded. Just personal choice there though eventually they start though and then they run great. My dad has a Jonsered that was bought probably in 1973 or so. It has been run over and cut tons of wood and still runs great. A couple years ago I got a Huskey 55 rancher and I love that saw not impressed by all the plastic but it hasn't turned out to be a big problem yet and hopefully won't turn out to be either.
