Best Deep Cycle Batt?

Its going to be used to power fish house lights and a furnace.

Who makes THE best "money is not an option" deep cycle battery?

AND who makes the best VALUED deep cycle battery...

for this application?

I'd go with an Optima if I could afford one! Let alone 3 of them. Do a google search and read up on them. I've got Interstate Group 27's now.

Odessey drycell,do a search on yahoo. Iv'e had one for four years and its still great, use it summer and winter. It will never freeze even if it is dead. Ten year life expectancy. Can be mounted any way you like, even upside down I think.

I have the Optima batteries and have been using them since 2000 and still work like the day I bought them.

Well, I'm not sure what's the best, but I run 6 volt Trojan golf cart batteries. They have thick lead plates that can take numerous deep discharges without significant damage. Mine are used in the RV in the summer and the fishouse in the winter. Two batteries cost about $150 total and supply 210 amp/hrs. I've had them for four years and they still work great. An excellent value.

both of the best options are mentioned here. the best option as i was informed by a leader in solar and wind energy storage. for the money is 2 6 volt golf cart batteries. and second best is optima batteries. but the important thing with optima is which one if you do not plan on useing it for starting purposes get only deep cycle. i believe its the blue top and will run you on sale for about $179
