I like the skid marks from the one landing in the top pick. Too bad all the other geese were in the pic. Same with the one on the right....great reflection....would have been perfect if he would have been solo on the ice.

He does, doesn't he. I liked your description :-)

I think the little merganser has something wrong with his right wing, which is why he overwinters here. Apparently he's been around for a couple of years. He's always hanging with the geese, I saw him again yesterday -- he was having a fun time splashing in the pond while the geese were napping.

I just hope he's OK this year with the bald eagle around ...
