ice on LOTW ?

Does anyone know when the typical time LOTW starts to freeze? Never been but want to go!! I have an opportunity to go second week in December...that seems a bit early to me; is it?

It might be a little early due to the nice weather we are having this year...but as you know, that can change in an heartbeat. I have fished LOTW in early Dec (first week) in the past...I think it was either last year or the year before..cant remember for sure. Check out some of the local LOTW resorts on-line, give them a call....they would me more than willing to help ya out.

Usually you will have ice but the first or second weekend in Dec. I would be willing to be this year will be similar given the past history.

Back when we use to live in Minnesota......I have had my truck on LOW as early as Nov..7... but lately.... ...it's dump shoot.....I'll be fishing LOW in late Nov. or early Dec. one way or another....

Yepper...sorta...Early 90's...drove my F-150 through the bay, parked on Pine Island and we fished by snowmobile from there, back in the 10/10 limit days.

Same year I had my 8x16 on Mille Lacs Nov 10th in Isle Bay.

91 or 92 maybe?
