Man kills deer with bare hands.

BENTONVILLE, ARK. - For 40 exhausting minutes, Wayne Goldsberry battled a buck with his bare hands in his daughter's bedroom.

Goldsberry, about 6-feet-1 and 200 pounds, finally subdued the five-point whitetail deer that crashed through a bedroom window at his daughter's home Friday. When it was over, blood splattered the walls and the deer lay dead on the bedroom floor, its neck broken.

At this time of year, a buck that sees its reflection in a window often charges, believing it is fighting off a rival, said Deputy Sheriff Doug Gay. Goldsberry had the deer butchered. "He's in the freezer," he said.

thought noodling was supposed to be with catfish? tongue.gif

Did they say if the daughter was in the room? If not I think I'd just shut the door and go with the theory that if you ignore something long enough it'll go away. grin.gif Think I'd learn though, never seems to work with my other half crazy.gif

But it should grin.gif

How long would it take you guys to catch your breathe after that one?

I saw this on another site. That guy is definitely two things 1. STUPID, that buck could have done some serious damage to him and 2. One TOUGH S.O.B.! Can you imagine killing a white tail with your bare hands??? Good grief they can run 100 yards after you shoot them with a 12 ga slug, they are tough as can be... shocked.gif

Well ya, you'd do whatever to get her out, but that isn't what this story sounded like to me. Heck he came out once and then went back in again. It sounded to me like this guy just wanted a piece of that buck!!!

Quote:

If a deer crashed into my daughters room, and she was there. I would rumble with it too. I think it is a fathers instinct to protect.

If a deer was in my childs room and my child was in there.. heck with rumbling, get the kid out and return with a rifle(be sure nobody is on other side of wall).

I have done some stupid things.. some were fun, others werent... fighting a deer to the death will never be on my to do list.

Did this guy not see Tommy Boy!?!?!?!?!?!??!!??!?!?!?!?!?!?

Here is the AP story:

It took 40 exhausting minutes for Wayne Goldsberry to subdue a five-point whitetail deer that crashed through a bedroom window at his daughter's house Friday. His weapon? His bare hands.

When it was over, blood splattered the walls and the deer lay dead, its neck broken.

It began, when Goldsberry went to check on the sound of breaking glass and found the deer in a bedroom.

Goldsberry said the deer ran down the hall and into the master bedroom -- "jumping back and forth across the bed."

Goldsberry, about 6-feet-1 and 200 pounds, entered the bedroom to confront the deer and, after a brief struggle, emerged to tell his wife to call police. He returned to the bedroom and finally was able to grip the animal and twist its neck, killing it.

Goldsberry, sore from the struggle, dragged the dead animal out of the house.

At this time of year, a buck that sees its reflection in a window often charges, believing it is fighting off a rival, Deputy Doug Gay said.

Goldsberry had the deer butchered. "He's in the freezer," the man said

Wow... that's stupid. Friend hit one a few years back while we were heading out camping that had all it's legs broken. It was one of the saddest/ most disturbing sights of my life watching that poor thing trying to run away on stubs with legs flopping. I couldn't take it and grabbed a knife out of my pack to put it out of it's misery. Even after getting spanked by a car at 50 mph they're a tough critter. Would like to say I'll never be so stupid in my life again, but knowing me it'd be a lie.
