Rost
Oh, and by the way, my neighbor told me Jeff Gorden sucks. Is that true?

VMS
I'm sure Jeff Gordon sucks...anytime he drinks from a straw Your right, though...you either love a driver or you hate them...But..some fans take that to an extreme where their driver is worshiped...very much like Jr. fans. And..I know there are a bunch of fans that hate Jr. too.. Fun to banter back and forth though... Steve
Gissert
Be careful, this is how I have become to enjoy NASCAR.I started by watching fans watch NASCAR in my local Legion. That was, and still is, most entertaining. Bickering, arguing, making fun of the other guys favorites. Watching the spectators was more fun than the action on the screen for me. Pretty soon I started checking the paper the next day to see who won, and where the point standings were. I would make mental notes of the next race. I was becoming a fan.I still am a passive fan for the most part, but I am getting into it a bit more to where I will clik the TV on and look for the race if I am not busy. Rost
Sorry Sifty!I was certainly not trying to offend anyone. I was just commenting on the fact that Nascar fans are loyal and passionate about their drivers and the Nascar sport. If I was a nascar fan, I would have taken the original post as a compliment. OUTDOORNUT
The new P.C. NASCAR Forum??Rost,I'm sorry your post was deleted, it was a nice call out to us Nascar fans. Loyality is their major marketing to sponsors also. Heck I had to switch motor oil when Valvoline left Martin! ha ha There is nothing worse than watch a race when everyone is cheering for the same guy. The best part is picking on your buddy's driver or him picking on yours, the brand of car someone drives, etc.! I know a few of my friends became fans because whenever they were over it was on the T.V. or the radio. They use to ask how can you watch cars go in circles for hours, that is when I told them to pick a driver, anyone and follow that guy through the race and it become more intersting. After a while to start to follow more and more drivers each race. Well needless to say they are all weekly followers now!

BUSHWAC
I’m not sure if I have more fun rooting for my own drivers or pulling for my buddies’ drivers to DNF. I certainly don’t want to see anybody get hurt, but I love watching the Hendrick, Childress and DEI cars get torn up!
outdoor ran
Thats what happened. We will forgive you this time Sifty Nut, hows your hunting season going so far?
OUTDOORNUT
It's been good. Grouse, Ducks, Prairie Chickens, Pheasants, it's all been good. Chased some Pheasants this last weekend in South Central MN, there is a good # of birds out there and still plenty of corn around. Messed up on a nice covey of Huns too. I'm going to rest the dogs for a couple weeks when Deer hunting starts and run a line of traps. (They have been hunting 1-3 days a week and every weekend since Grouse opener) After deer season it is pheasants and maybe a duck shoot until the end of the season!
