New Gander card out now.....

They had a picture of the free $75 stuff in the latest Outdoor News. If that is what they are truely giving out, then I'm not really impressed.

When I first saw the sign in St.Cloud, I thought it read "Sign up now and receive $75 to use on next purchase"...or something like that.

I'd rather get the $75 in hand than a bunch of grab bag items they feel are worth $75. Nice try GM.

Folding 6 pack cooler? How many does a guy need?

I know I've got at least 1 from the last time I resubscribed to Outdoor Life magazine.

I don't know about you guys but I prefer hard sided protection for my 6 packs. When you are only counting on 6 of them babies, you don't want anything happening to 1 of them. There is just too much that can happen with soft sided protection- a puncture & leak, crushed can, etc. grin.gif

Hanson, Im with you brother. Hard side all the way. Nothing worse than a lost beverage and the others soaking in it. Of course thats also when the chips, candy bars, sandwiches and oatmeal creme pies all get soaked as well. frown.gif

I have learned the value of a good zip lock now. grin.gif

I use the soft sided coolers for bait now.

So why would anybody sign up for the GM credit card???....I had one, that I earned points towards gift certificates to Gander....Got a letter stating that they weren't doing GM Credit cards anymore....lost out on about $100 worth of points towards GM that I had accrued and they sent me a new generic card with no pretty picture of the outdoors....

What the heck?

Muskieguy.

I can't believe somebody has the nerve to talk about a sixer and oatmeal cream pies in the same post. How could you? And on a Friday at lunch time. You need to realize some of us are at work and now I have 2 major cravings. At least 1 of those cravings cannot be satisified here at work. I'm working on the other as I type.

Man I didnt realize so many guys were into those Little Debbie oatmeal creme pies. You guys have to see Green n Gold eat those things in his icehouse. He has a system that heats them up so the cream is all warm and soft. All he needs is a heater and a icescoop. Totally hands free! Its crazy! crazy.gif

Well Im done with work in a hour and Ill have to stop and get a half dozen of the Debbies and a dozen smoothies. grin.gif Yum Yum.

Nothing like that combo while fishing on Lake Superior. wink.gif

Actually , the new card has the original points system. From what I was told early this year, it was MBNA that ended the relationship with Gander. Now Gander has started the system back up with a new company. Can't hardly blame Gander for the actions of a crappy CC company. Gifts aren't too great but at least it's something... And now I get the points system back. I'll take that over oatmeal creme pies!

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
