Quick Prop Question

I'll be changing the prop on my 25 hp Merc later this morning. Are you suppose to lubrcate the shaft before installing?

Merc recommends doing so with Quicksilver Perfect Seal Sealing Compound of any waterproof lube. I use waterproof bearing grease.

I honestly don't know what you're talking about. I was speed trolling in about 65fow when I tagged a floating rock.

I did change over from a 13 to an 11 prop. It sounds like the Merc is revving faster and it does seem to go faster when I have a few well fed fisherman in the boat.
