Down to Earth
James,I think you have a great team for a twelve team league. If you stay free of the injury bug with JOnes and LT you will have a very good shot at winning it all. I wouldn't doubt if eventually you start putting Bennett in your lineup in place of Clayton. Down to Earth
I think for a first year player you probably did ok. I think with that squad you will be able to win some games here and there. Is this a competitive league or more of a casual fun league? One thing for certain is you reached way too high for Jones with the #4 pick, espcially when there are guys like Alexander, Deuce, James, etc. still on the board. I think you are pretty weak at RB. Jones is your only true feature back. The rest have plenty of issues surrounding them that I would not be comfortable counting on them week in and week out. Your other positions are pretty solid I think, though I probably wouldn't be stating Williamson right now. Your three bench WR are all better options at this point right now with McCardell being at the top in my opinion. This will be a good learning experience for you and should be able to take it into next season. I'm not sure how serious you are into Fantasy Football, but pre-draft research is key in a good draft. Also if you can get on a good board such as Fanball that is focused on Fantasy sports you can ask questions and bounce off ideas. The readers there are pretty good about helping out newbies.Stay on top of the things during the season and work the waiver wire. Picking up a key player here and there can make a big difference.Good Luck.Andy
STILLNOFISH
I would agree with DTE regarding the running backs. Many of the ten man leagues, I have seen Alexander/Ahman Green type quality. I would try and pick up another RB when you get a chance, given your current RB's with the exception of Julius Jones could have difficult years or not enough carries. I like the WR's on your team. Pretty good draft for your first time overall. Like anything else, until the season starts we all are making guesses on what we consider good teams. Good luck.
