GOOD SCOPE FOR SHOTGUN?

I've been thinking about switching from iron sight to a scope for my shotgun. These couple of years my eyes hasn't been that good to me. What I mean by good scope is that it can handle alot of shock, fog, rains and alot of shots from my guns. Any of you guys out there have been shooting with or know of a good scope, let me know about. I'm willing to spend up to $300.00 on one.

I have nothing but good things to say about a Burris Signature Series 1.5X-6X. We have 3 in our hunting party and all have performed flawlessly for the last 9 years. the crispness and low light capabilities in my opinion rate up there with the mega$ scopes.

I have a Nikon ProStaff 2-7x32 that I put on last year, an upgrade from a lesser Simmons scope. I was very pleased with its optics and its performance. I believe it was around $130. Nikon has decent quality and good prices. I believe you can pay a lot more and not get much better with some other brands.

The main thing on the recoil and the rest is to make sure you buy a scope from any company designed for shotgun shooting. They are built to handle that specific type of recoil which is different than what a rifle does.

i have a bushnell banner dusk and dawn 1.5X4.5. dONT GET it!!!!!!!!!! It is a good scope and cheap but thats just it. it fogs up bad when it rains even though it features raingaurd coating. if i were you go with nikon or leupold. they both have some cheaper scopes and for 300.00 you vccan get an excellet glass from either company. just make sure its a shotgun scope and a low power variable or fixed is the way to go.
