Cool trick for Lowrance GPS units...let us know if it works for you.

In full map view, press exit 3 times quickly, & you'll get an old fashioned style speedometer & odometer displayed. (This is not in the manual).

This even works with the emulation software software from Lowrance.

It works on my i-Finder H2O, and I've read it works with a 332C and X18C.

Does it work for others?

Neat! I just tried it on the X15 emulator that I have loaded on my PC and it does work. I'll have to try it on the real thing the next time I go fishing.

Where ever did you find that out? I guess Lowrance likes to plant "easter eggs" like other programmers do also.

Yep, works on 332C also worked last year on the LMS 480 I had on my "04 boat.

That's cool, I wonder how accurate it is compared to the digital read out? On my iFinder H2O, I can get the speedometer, but not an Odometer, my question is ; is there a way to get total distance traveled without adding up the displayed distance from one waypoint to another etc. ? I can't seem to find any way to do it.

Menu two times...if you didn't already figure it out. I didn't know till someone told me. Menu, Menu gets you into the guts of your Lowrance. (Didn't read manual)

I always have trouble resetting the odometer on my i-Finder. I tried menu-menu and can't find it.

I found this trick on another board. I wonder if there is anymore 'easter eggs' on these things?

Neat, work on mine too, all I have to do now is go on the water and see if it really works like a speedo. Minor difference in mine, I had to hit exit 4 times. Mines a GM5000c.
