I believe this kinda weather for opener would be par for the course, I'm pretty sure I haven't had REALLY nice weather on fishing opener for years...now if we can just get the deer opener to NOT be 70 degrees and nice.

I'm with ya' riverrat, I can't count how many times I've had to bust the ice skim open in the minnow buckets and have always done well if not great, and that was before electronics good luck out there.

I think all the clocks here are broken. The clock hands are not moving fast enough. This has been the longest week of my life it seems.

Hey Crappieflop, you need to keep your mind off fishing and the time will go a lot faster at work. Here is what I did this week to keep my mind off fishing at work:

--Printed about 30 Lakemaster maps

--Programed my GPS with new coordinates

--Checked the weather forecast for Brainerd about 4 times per day.

--Went grocery shopping 3 times because I always forgot something.

--Went to Gander Mountain, Dick's, and Target.

--Checked every page on FishingMinnesota at least 5 times per day.

--Went beer shopping twice. Decided I didn't have enough after the first time.
