I have heard they are starting to fing them in MN. I suspect the cold snap will push things back a little but this weekend might be a good time to start. The weekend after will be prime time. Good luck!

ive been told that there are some little ones around the long prairie area. id have to day give it a few weeks for it to warm up, and we should have a great year.

Well, I was going to go out this weekend and check some of my regular spots....but I just looked out the window and I might have to dig through the snow to find them.....on second thought...maybe I'll wait another week...

My dad is in Souther Illinois and he is an Morel fanatic. he started finding them last week- and we are usually about 4 weeks behind them...I have heard of a few spots though...

I am near Elk River and have never found ANY in this area.

DougMN - Noooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! I sure hope it is not another 4 weeks!!! All we need is some normal weather (warmer) and they should start popping!! 10 days is my estimate, especially based on the long range forecast.
