Turning In Poachers

Was talking to a fellow fisherman the other day who happened to tell me the day before he saw someone catch a northern and had the guy say to him "they aren't in season huh?" the guy I was talking to said to him "no, but you don't have to worry about me" and in the livewell it went. This really upsets me but there is nothing I can do, as I wasn't there and didn't know either of the people. How many people actually report these things? I have TIP in my phone, but what about people who don't have phones? I wish they put pay phones at public landings or something. If nothing else, take down the licence plate and any other info you can and call as soon as possible, you never know. As for the person I was talking to, at least I know to keep an I out now. What do others feel on this? How many people actually do something (rather than just say something) about it?

You can come and ask me for it, I have it on my cell phone now. I have had all the area DNR office numbers on it for quite some time now as well. I will call and turn them in in a heartbeat! If I know that a CO or someone is coming out I will even stand around and talk with the person to give the law more time to get there. Take care and N Joy the Hunt././Jimbo
