What do you guys use to sharpen your hooks?

I use a Rapals battery powered sharpener. It's not bad, and I'd recomend it but sometimes you still have to finish it off with a nail file. Especially on smaller hooks.

Luhr Jensen makes a pretty good file. It has a yellow handle and it won't break the bank at about six bucks.

Hey Cliffy - Just curious,(like George), the make of that sharpener and the hook sizes it can handle. I'm gonna get one like that but I see most places have two different sized models.

its about 10 inches in lenght..6 1/2 of that is the file...and about 3/4 inch wide. Its a "Smity's Super Sharp" and its big enough to handle all my muskie lures...more then enough. I think it was 6 bucks at Gander.

The Smitty is the best out there in my opinion. It can do both edges at the same time so it saves you time sharpening all those hooks.

I picked one up like Cliffy's at the Guide's Choice stand a the Extreme Muskie Show in Medina. That thing works awesome. Highly recommend!

Hey guys, I picked one of these up last night at the Gander in Maple Grove for $7.99. I have not tried it out yet, but it sure looks like it will work a heck of a lot better than the POS that I was attempting to use! Thanks for the suggestions!
