Hostility ?

Is it just me or is there something in the water. It seems like some hostility is in the air. This is a spot to talk birds, calls, guns, stories, etc.

Lately it just seems like a great big [PoorWordUsage] and moan contest

I really love this site and particulary this forum. Lets make it worthwhile and not degenerate it with accusation, false presumption, if ya got an issue with someone e-mail or call em and discuss it, at least keep things civil, later

Honestly, I just think it is the time of year! For those of us that don't hunt snows, we are cooped up inside chomping at the bit, waiting for the &$$*&% ice to get off the lake. I, for one, am going crazy! I have been known to just sit in my boat (while it's still parked in the garage) and stare off into space for hours in March. My wife is getting concerned .

Mine took away my duck calls because of the depression my lab and i were subjecting our selves to. I think she is now on planning to contact the du commitee for an intervention.

Believe me, I've seen this go down hill fast since I resigned as Mod here. A lot of what is going on would not be going on if I still had the power (I dont want it, that's why I'm not mod anymore...lol).

Ice Hawk and I talked about this in length, and it seems a lot of the problems are stemming from a certain group of posters who also cause problems on other waterfowl sites, not just this one.

What these people need to realize is that they have a lot of growing up to do. Many of us here have put in years, no decades of waterfowling. Most of us were shooting birds before many of them were even thoughts in their parents minds. Yea, you guys are important to the sport because you are the future, but don't come on here acting like you are the authority on waterfowling and decide to slam others or berate others because you feel like you know-all. We were all there once and one thing you learn as you get older is that you only think you know all there is to know when you are at that age. Also, just because some of us do not have access to prime land, sloughs and fields, that you feel it nessesary to rub it in our faces and you feel somehow this makes you better. A lot of us when we were your age had many more oppertunities than we do now that we have gotten older. So savor them, dont flaunt them.

Ok, enough of my lecture. Time to dream of Oct 1!!!

Now that is exactly how I feel about the imature attitudes going around.

I also have had a discusion with one of the other moderators about people comming in off another well known site that got shut down because of this very thing happening there.

I have been a member since 2000 and was a member of several other sites well before that.

I came to this site because no one was arguing about this or that, no one berated any one else.

Now it is sad to see it all starting here.
