Help! There's a hole in my Voyager.

Question

Ok,

Last night I found a small crack in my Fish Trap Voyager Sled. The crack is about 2 inches long. I finally figured out where all of the snow in the tub is coming from.

Now, I know some of you have had this happen. Please inform me on the best way to fix this or direct me to a previous post.

Thanks,

I had the same in my Voyager sled at the end of last season.

I patched it with JB Weld during a warm fall day and it held up to heavy use this season.

Others have had good luck with PTex; it's what ski shops use to repair gouges in the bottom of skis (incurred by skiing over a small rock on the ski slope).

I believe the stuff that Northlander is refering to is called Ptex.

Ptex comes in stick or powder form. I prefer the stick form myself. Light the stick and drip it into the gouges, let in "cure", and then scrape off the excess.

Do a google on it and you'll find the product, most likely on some ski or snowboard HSOforum.

Interestingly enough, I just drilled two holes in my clam tonight in the wrong spot (attaching eyelets for ice anchors), so I'm going to have to use the stuff myself smile.gif.
