Iceman12
I was wondering what kind of spring bobbers everyone has find to work the best? I have one but it's the kind you have to shrink wrap to the rod. Don't really like that, looking for other suggestions.
0 loebs93
I like the HT brand that is flat in shape. It doesn't fit like it is supposed to, to the rod, but all I do is use hot glue to attach it. It is extremely sensitive and cheap. I've paid as much as five dollars for one and I hated it.
0 Dan Brelje
I just got one from thorne bros to go with my sweet thing 24" and it is awesome. I was fishing this afternoon and i would not have caught half the fish if it were not for that sping bobber. To tell you the truth i almost did not buy it; i was going to pass it up but i thought to myself "its only 5 extra dollar" or even less i dont remember. I love it.Just my 2 cents*I do not think it will work for all rods though, it has and end that you stick into the last eye or your rod. You would have to have an eye that is very close to the same size as the thorne bros i think
0 Iceman12
Those do look nice. I wonder if they fit on the perch sweetheart. Does anyone know? That's the only Thorne Bros I own.
0 Matt Johnson
The Thorne Bros spring bobbers will fit on all the panfish model rods. They fit the Panfish Sweetheart, Sweet Thing, Sweet Pea and Finesse Plus. I don't believe they fit the Perch Sweetheart, but I could be wrong. I have one on a Sweet Thing and a Sweat Pea and both work great!I also like the new Legend Ice Rods by St. Croix with the built in spring bobber system. These spring bobbers are very sensitive and the rod is a high quality rod. A great system and they come in a variety of actions so you can even target larger gamefish like walleyes and catfish with a spring bobber. Greg from St. Croix has really come out with an excellent product and has spent countless hours out on the ice to fine-tune his system.Good Fishin,Matt Johnson
0 Captain B.R.K
Iceman- give em' a call Thorne Bros and ask. For what is out on the market- those TB spring bobbers are the best. Otherwise you have to dink around with the shrink wrap stuff and worry about melting the graphite on your rod
0 Iceman12
The Thorne Bros spring bobber does only fit the panfish rods. I just got back from Gander and got one of the new St. Croix's. The spring bobber system looks great. Can't wait to get out and use it this weekend.
