Culpepper's car in drug arrest

Vikings quarterback Daunte Culpepper has had a rough week.

Five days after a confusing incident at a Super Bowl news conference, two of Culpepper's friends were arrested in the parking lot of a basketball playground Monday afternoon and charged with possessing marijuana, according to a report filed by the Maitland Police Department in Orange County, Fla., just outside of Orlando.

Larry Tucker, one of Culpepper's closest friends, was borrowing Culpepper's new black Infinity SUV when he was arrested along with another friend, Thomas Lamont Isaac, on a charge of possessing less than 20 grams of marijuana. At the time of the arrest, Culpepper was on a plane bound for Honolulu, where he will play in the Pro Bowl on Sunday.

Reached by telephone in Honolulu, Culpepper said he was aware of the incident, although he was not sure of the details.

"I just know my truck is fine," Culpepper said. "I'm here for the Pro Bowl. I'll handle it after I get back."

Tucker received a notice to appear in court and was released.

Mason Ashe, Culpepper's agent, said he and his client are still gathering information.

"I'm looking into it, to see what really are the facts," Ashe said, declining to elaborate.

On Feb. 2, Culpepper created confusion after he made a goodwill gesture.

During a question-and-answer session after the FedEx Air and Ground Player of the Year winners were announced, a 17-year-old paralyzed boy asked Culpepper, "Can I get some ice?"

Culpepper obliged, walking off the stage and putting his two platinum and diamond necklaces around the boy's neck.

The Associated Press reported that the boy's parents thought Culpepper was giving the boy the jewelry, worth more than $100,000. But Culpepper got his jewelry back later, causing some confusion.

i'm glad his truck's fine!!! wink.gif

Why should he care if his friends got arrested? It's not his fault that his friends were stupid and got arrested. If I borrowed my friends my truck and they got arrested with drugs I would be more worried about my truck than them, because their the (Contact US Regarding This Word) with the drugs. Your really digging here otto.

Here we go with the next chapter in the new book titled-"A Cheeshead's Guide to Higher Standards"

For cripes sake....since when do we start judging someone on what their friends do? I have friends/aquaintences that smoke wacky weed. Does that mean I'm a pot-head too and should be blamed for their actions?

Man, wake-up.

come on viking fans, you can sure dish it but you can't take it to well!! what's the deal with that?

Somebody told me once "You can’t outthink stupid, so don’t even bother to try". That sums up discussing this non-issue with Packer boys well I'd say... "stupid is as Musky and Otto post" to paraphrase Forrest Gump grin.gif

Please, you are mocking others about being able to dish it out but can't take it.

So far in Packerland this offseason started early by the vikings.

Head of scouts pleads guilty to sex assault.

Driver says Farve told him he will retire, but then admitted to never talking to Farve.

Walker feels left out so does the same thing as Driver.

Packers have offered, Farve, Green, Walker, Driver, Chumura, Franks, Barnett, Longwell, Harris and Davenport for Randy Moss and the NFL says the deal is to lopsided in favor of the Packers and that the Pack needs to offer some quality players or at least draft picks.

Lets see here the Vikes have been around since 1961 if I read right and in that time, if accurate the tally is GB-42 MN-45 and 1 tie. Also in that time MN-superbowl IV, VIII, IX and XI, all losses, yes if I read right that is not one superbowl win for the MN Vikings. Since 1961, GB-NFL champs in 61, 62, 65, superbowl champs for superbowls I, II, XXI, thats not to mention the championship wins in 29, 30, 31, 36, 39, 44, before the Vikes were around, and losing the NFL championships in 38, 60 and superbowl XXXII. Oh yeah and while I was diggin I also found 2 other minnesota teams, Minneapolis marines, 1921-1924 went 4 losses and 0 wins with GB and also the Minneapolis Red Jackets, 1929-1930(an even shorter career than the first) also with 4 losses to GB and "ZERO" wins!!!!! So now Ill tally up MN wins VS GB wins, the score is GB-50 and The Swamp-45. Did I forget anything else????? That took alot of digging so please make all low shots count wink.gif

Now why would I give a rats tail about what the Vikes have won for superbowls, I was just spitting numbers to show how good of a team GB is compared to MN over the years, the numbers speak for themselves, if I have to dig up more info I would be happy to, this is rivalry not caring and sharing. tongue.gif

Exactly! Why would we care that the packers won a few games 40 years ago or 10 years ago and for that matter why do you care?

Look up the records of the vikes vs. pack in the playoffs.

Would either of you care at all if the vikings had won the super bowls they were in 30 years ago?

No, it would not work in their favor. In fact, even if the Vikes did win a SB (I know, long shot, save the comments)I am not sure Otto would be able to follow a thread past the third post since that is when the "At least we won a Super Bowl" usually appears because he has run out of material.

BRAVO Fishguy.

Yep, it all comes back to the same comments over and over. Kinda funny we Vikes fans seem to have so much material to discuss but for cheese-otto, it all goes back to talking about something we really don't care about. The Pack are not our team. Why should we care if they won 1 superbowl or 100?

That's what all you cheesy-poof heads don't get. WE DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR TEAM, and contrary tou your twisted beliefs, neither does the rest of the world!!....but then again, I forgot, the world does revolve around Green Bay. After all, the moon is made of cheese right? grin.gif

I'll have to say this has turned into a typical border dispute over their beloved teams, with each side bringing out their trump cards. The vikes with their favorite Favre bashin techniques like the Vicadin, Playoff Ints, and the Pack with the superbowl and Moss hatred. But fellas that isn't what this thread started as a debate about.

It is about how Dante seems to be able to involve himself with negative media attention no matter what he does. The necklace incident, which started as a nice gesture for a handicapped kid, turned into PR disaster. Now to add to it his shady friends get caught with his truck while doped up and in possession of weed. Another black-eye incident. So that is what you should be talking about.

We've hashed this over enough in the past sixth months, please bring something new to the table. Vikes fans, no more hamper [PoorWordUsage]er, Vicadin, Int, Chumura comments and My fellow backer backers lay off the super bowl, traffic guard incident, warren moon domestic abuse, and donald iqualbique(not sure if I spelled that right) comments cause it's getting old.
