which transducer do I need???

Im planning on buying a fl-8 this season and I fish rivers 98% of time in 20 feet or less of water 10 to 14 feet being the average, what transducer would work the best a 9,12 or 19 , Any help on this subject would be great ,Thanks

In shallow waters the larger the cone angle the more information you will see. This will help you in marking fish on your graff. I personally would go with the 19...

I bought the 9-19. The option to change the cone angle is nice to have, then you would not be stuck with a 19 cone if you happen to get into deeper water. It is only a difference of $20 or so.

I have the vez fl 18 with the 9- 19 transducer, works great, only draw back is, it doesn,t fit real good in the hole in the foam for carring it when moving around.

efgh, I have no problem with 9 - 19 transducer fits real nice in the Ultra Pack on my FL-18 and locks in tight for transporting. Do you have the Pro Pack than?

I guess its the scotch blood , I bought the fl 18 that has just the black plastic base, battery compartment, battery charge indicater and handle for carring, with the 9- 19 trans. was a little cheaper, like I said the scotch is showing.
