Northlander
Smelter how has yours been doing? I just started using the compact coleman lantern with a FishBright on it and for such a small outfit it tosses some great light. Super light and goes 12 hours on a 1# bottle. The_Duckslayer
I have the northstar lantern, would I have to take it off for the lantern to fit into the carrying case? Thanks and N Joy the Hunt././Jimbo
logon648
Duckslayer it will fit in most. However if you do have to pop it off it only takes a few seconds http://www.soderbloom.com/reflectralight.html
The_Duckslayer
It's not the time to put it on and take it off that matters, it is just that if it does not then you have yet another thing that can get bent up or broken with no where to put it! I had a shade type apparatus on my white fuel Coleman Powerhouse lantern and it fits in the case so there is no hassle with it. The Northland came with the case and I was just wondering if that was one of the "most" that the reflector fits into? Thanks and N Joy the Hunt././Jimbo
Northlander
Duckslayer your shade aparatus wont even come close to giving you the light a FishBright does. I take mine off my Compact Lantern all the time and no hassle or worries about breaking it. Try one you will be amazed.
The_Duckslayer
I knew that... it is a shade so that if you sit behind it the light does not get in your eyes. It is metal which I am figuring the Fish Bright is and stuff that is unprotected in the back of my truck tends to get bent up rollong around back there. (I actually use my truck like a truck ) Take care and N Joy the Hunt././Jimbo

Crappie Jigger
I just ordered two of them for my Colman Compact. One for my Father and one for me. I hope its works as well as you guys say.
Northlander
Crappie Jigger I run one on a compact and love it. I was really surprised the light I got out of such a small unit. Im sure you will also be surprised. I was more than happy with the Fishbright on my regular 2 mantle lantern but once Jay showed me how the Fishbright worked on his compact I had to go buy one for myself. Enjoy it and please tell us what ya thought of the set up.

Northlander
Your welcome and I hope you continue to enjoy it. Nothing like a product that does exactly what it says and is sold by a guy that knows how to treat people!I still think there has to be some sort of a award for such a great product! Bigfife
I believe that ordering is probably the best way, but doesn't the price about double with the Shipping and handling. I thought that was what it said after I tried to check out.

500spikes
That's great to hear. Just got back from Mille Lacs and had it with me. Only used it a couple times because we fished mainly 6 to 6. I know I'm going to enjoy it many times this year and my wife can't wait to use it camping. She hates it when the lantern shines in her eyes.
