The Grebe
I use a Rapala electric with a cord and it gets cumbersome to say the least. I think I will buy a cordless next summer and see how that works? Anybody out there in the readership ever do a comparision test?
abens1078
I've never done a comparison myself but I have heard others say the cordless knives are great out of the gate but they can wear down quickly if you have to do alot of cleaning. My personal preferrence is to use and electric knife on big fish with thick rib bones. I get to go out to Lake Erie once a year and we use the electric knife to remove the sides and then debone everything with the old Rapala standby.I also like the electrics if I have alot of panfish to work through. For 15 bucks you just as well have one or two.
Mike89
always have used an electric one and no complaints. I think a cordless would be good to have but will depend on the electric one for everyday use.
hunt4food
Thanks for the tip! I just picked one up tonight in Hudson Wi. Menards. I cleaned some pike today for pickling and I finally decided to get one.
Northlander
The electrics shine on Perch and Crappie where the scales really dul up a regular fillet knife.
