HOW NICE IT IS

How nice it is to get on the ice again.

Went out sunday after noon with nothing bitting till dark and then the crappies starting hitting. Caught 3 in about 5 minutes, decent size about 11"ers. Had to leave when bite just got started. O'well now I know where to fish at next time. There was 5 solid inches out there. The ice never cracked when we walked out. Man I love ice fishing.

The bait dealer in down town shakopee lost my business from now on. Complete arse.

Sorry, just venting. The guy was a complete arse when I went there. You think he would be happy I was spending my money in there.

Not even close to as nice as the guys are at Vados.

I will just start picking my bait up at my lunch time when I know I am going fishing. I live in Shakopee but work in New Hope. I will be glad to make the drive and give those guys my money instead of that guy in Shakopee.

That guy in Shakopee is a moron. I can't believe people consistently do business with him. I really hate going there but have to if i want to fish a lake on the way home. I would really like to knock his lights out for being so arrogant. been there done that attitude and real rude.

I was at Vados for the first time on Saturday and that is a great Bait shop!! I will be back!

The crabby shack in downtown Shakopee? Been there too - I will not go back unless I am in DIRE need of bait. Was there last week and received the same grumpy, arrogant service I always have gotten. What a shame...

All the guys I have spoken to at Vados are top notch. They are always willing to help you out or give you any info that they can. Man I miss that place.

Good variety of bait and bait sizes.

Shakopee you either get Med. sucker or L. suckers. One size crappie minnows and one size fathead. NO SHINNERS??????????

Nope, not sure of the town but it is south of Prior Lake. It was my first time there.

Can't wait to hit them again this weekend after I buy my bait at Vados.

Vados is in Spring Lake Park. It is a great bait shop, dealt with them for years and they are very friendly.

Belle Plaine has a bait store as well as Prior Lake on hwy 13. the guy in shakopee isn't that bad if you get to know him, he comes across alittle rough but a nice guy, shakopee had another one but I see that the store is going out of business

No, I don't believe I have. Would be interested in fishing it sometime. Locally, I tend to fish the lakes in the New Prague/Montgomery/Lonsdale area because of in-laws and friends who know those lakes well.

My in laws live about 2 miles from shields lake, I do pretty good there.

mnmuzzleloader, I have been in there a couple times and it has been the same every time. Buddies told me to look out.

mnmuzzleloader - Thanks for the tip on the baitshops! Maybe I just haven't caught him at the right time. I've been in there a dozen or so times in the past three years and have always left feeling my business is more tolerated than appreciated.
