Be sure the thermocouple is close to the burner, take a wrench and make sure the other end is screwed in tight to the safety.. if thats ok replace it..you can buy them at fleet farm or gander..etc.. cant really clean them..little different than wats on most newer furnaces...that should take care of it...if that doesnt do it you will have to replace the safety..which is the part you push & hold in..but I would highly doubt thats the problem

Minnetonka is right. The thermocouple is cheap and easy to replace. Don't mess with the old one, just get a new one then you won't have to worry about it anymore. I've had to replace a couple of mine over the years. It appears as if they just wear out. Once replaced, the things work as good as new. cool.gif
