Stratosman
Everyone has their favorite panfish jigs, just curious as to what they are. My list is rather short, but I can say, over the years have narrowed it down to a select few that consistantly produce throughout the ice fishing season. Rather than switch jig types constantly, other than finding if the fish prefer horizontal or vertical presentations, I just change colors within the select group and most times that is all I need to do. Here are my confidence jigs that I feel I can catch fish under any conditions.1. Flirty Girty (new favorite after last year)2. Demon3. Genz worm4. Ratso, shrimpoWhat are some of yours? I always have room in my box for more jigs!
Guest
Genz worm tipped with red and 1-white spike. About all I ever use, some might think not trying enough but it always works pretty good.

augernaut
I think that most anglers spend way too much time worrying about jigs, colors, etc. Most of us carry way too much tackle - myself included!! The action you put on a jig is more important usually than the color. That's why I believe it's important to understand your jig styles and how they are designed to be fished. Then, make sure you have jigs that represent every style of jig. Teardrops, horizontals, flyer types, etc. Get good with a few styles, get a representative array of colors, and you will be better off in the long run. My list of favorites is:Fatboy - 10's and 12'sCustom Jigs and Spins DemonsGenz Bugs Northland Forage Minnow SpoonsThere are others, but these are my go-to jigs. psegriz
augernaut\I think you hit it right on the nail. It's mostly how you work the jig. I do believe size and or color can make a difference, but the presentation is the number one key.My favories.teardrops/moonsdemonsgrubsminiature spoonsairplanesleadheadsIn no paricular order. It just depends on the conditions. The reactions of the fish will dictate most of it. At night glow blue seems to work and day I like white, I'll change afterr I see a need to.
