Tax Forfeited Land

Is it legal to hunt on tax forfeited land? I had heard somewhere that you can hunt it just like any other state land. Anybody know what the deal is?? Thanks

You can hunt tax forfeited land, I do too. I believe it's owned by the county which is actually the people of the county. I've tried to buy tax forfeited land with no luck from the county, from time to time the do sell some parcels but usually in town so someone will build a house and raise the tax base.

Yep, treat it as state land or county land....Have fun!

I even think that some tax forfit land is still owned by the person, but they alow the land to be hunted on for tax reliefe. This type land may be called something else I cant quite remember.. anyone?

You can also drive four wheelers out to pick up your deer if the STF (state tax forfeited)land is signed by the DNR as public hunting ground.
