Nice fish! if that is a 54"+ with that girth, that might be close to a state record. At least pushing 50 lbs.

The fish was caught North of the border. It was easily over 40lbs, but I didn't stress it by putting the scale to it.

My dad had one a inch shorter the same day that had a bigger girth. Picture pending on that one. (Still in the camera)...

That thing looks like something you'd catch in the ocean! Holy dump thats HUGE! Could you imagine swimming in a lake and having a fish like that swim next to you? I don't think I'd ever go back into a lake again. Congrats on the fish and even more congrats on the CPR.
