Is my avatar working?

There have been post saying that ofto does not work on avatar or pictures. When I have made post or submitted pictures they have appeared.

Am I seeing things or are they there?

I have a picture that I cannot get to work for the avatar. ANy hints. I followed the directions and used shutterfly to pull the image.
