0 ChuckN
Also, OMC is basically Johnson/Evinrude products. Since the year 2000, Bombardier took over OMC when OMC went bankrupt.
0 tomfromblaine
ok so this boat is a 2004 with omc controls that means I would have to put a johnson or evinrude product on it, or are these controls sort of a universal fit type of deal which would allow any type motor installation like honda, yam,or merc, sorry for so many questions but I'm not informed in this area. 0 Surface Tension
Normally if the boat and outboard are separated the controls go with the outboard. If you were to buy a new outboard you'll get the controls with it.
0 delmuts
from what i've been told, the controls will not interchange between brands.( other than johnson and evinrude) i think you have to buy the controls seperately .
0 Wave Runner
Some controls are interchangeable. My last boat (bought new) ended up having Mercury controls and a Yamaha outboard. The boat was prerigged for Mercury but I wanted Yamaha. Talk to the dealer who's going to sell you the outboard...
