Does anybody know where one can find a good well described snowmobile map for Minnesota??

call the DNR they will send you one of the state.

Join your local snowmobile club and they can set you up.

Try local dealers and bars in the areas you are looking to ride. They often have maps with the dollar donation box from the local clubs.

Like wally-eye said - join a local club. It takes a lot of work to keep the trails groomed, etc. and clubs are always looking for new members. If you are looking for maps for a specific area go to the MN USA HSOforum. All the clubs in Minnesota are listed with contacts.

Hey rafterj

You guys have trouble getting members for your club also? We have about 6-8 guys that do all the work year in year out. (grooming, trail in, trail out, bridge bldg, etc)

We have the same problem. With the lack of snow the last few years our membership has really gone down. We're fortunate that the active members we have are so dedicated.
