RUBBER BOOTS.....REALLY???

I'm next in line after Truth if they start making a 16! I stopped in Red Wing on my way home from deer hunting and Red Wing barely has any 16s. Its about impossible to find good hunting or ice fishing boots in those sizes.

I have now had a chance to use my Sub Zero boots and let's just say I am totally impressed and sold on them. at first I was skeptical of these but I decided to try them and I am glad I did. I had a unfortunate test of their warmth yesterday, on my way out to the spot I wanted to fish I happened to walk right into a 10" hole that was covered under the snow and I went in up to my knee. the amazing part was I didn't get much water inside the boot since I had the leg of my Lift Suit tightened down around the boot. there was some but it was not enough to have to dump it out. the surprising part is that my leg and foot was warm even thou they were wet. I will for sure be buying a second pair.

I have a pair of the Lacrosse Boots that e designed for ice fishing with the same liner that icemans have except that they go up to the knee. They are about on there last season of use.

With that said I would go back to these, but I would like something a bit lighter and for deer hunting this year used a pair of 1600 gram thinsulate Zipper front chest wader boots that I had cut down too knee highs due to the Zipper breaking and I liked them a lot.

I may have to give these a try.

My feet seem to always freeze. I've tried almost every boot out there. I get sick of people saying their feet "sweat" because their boots are so warm. Guess those breadbags my mom put on my moon boots really messed with my feet after having frostbite...

That being said I can honestly say the SubZero boots actually made my feet sweat!

I wore them Bowhunting the other day and sitting still in the. Old my feet stayed nice and toasty!!!

My vote is for the SubZero boots.

Good fishing,

Personally I like the way the Muck Arctic extreme boots perform for both hunting and fishing. They are more flexible than all rubber boots in the upper portion above the ankle and they are very warm even when snowmobiling but comfortable enough that I was wearing them last weekend deer hunting in the mud when the temps were in the 50's.

X2.

Purchased my first pair of Muck Boots 4 years ago and haven't looked back. I am outdoors most days of the year (I own a Nuisance Wildlife Control Company here in the metro), and the Muck boots hold up and keep me warm and dry all season long. Plus, easy to slip on and off. I am sure the Clam boots will perform as well.

A good rubber boot. Nothing beats it.

Trudged through 15 inches of snow/slush after the big storm in Dec. with laced boots. Carried 5 lbs of ice on each for about a half mile, feet wet and frozen...brutal. I couldn't get them off until 20 miles down the road with heat blasting on them. Bought the ice armor 1200's after reading this thread. I wish I had bought these before the season. Really warm & waterproof and as mentioned really nice to slide them off/on versus lacing. I too hate driving with boots on, no need with these. Great item.
