Very Impressive Journey!

I followed both the boys trip this spring, and these folks as well during their trip.  

There was actually a web site where you could track on a map their progress compared to the spring trip in real time, so cool watching how close the two trips were in time and distance.

Congrats to the two of them! (And the boys as well for their effort this spring)

220 miles of canoeing and portaging in 63 hours straight.

Unreal.

Gives hope to us fellow old timers.

 

I'm guessing he doesn't have a problem opening a pickle jar.

According to the story, he is a civil engineer.  She is a dental hygenist.    They live in the twin cities.    It's sort of like those ultra-marathoner folks, hardcore endurance amateur athletes.   Basically just a matter of paddling and walking at 3.5-4 mph for 60 hours straight.   4mph in an empty canoe isn't that hard.  It is the 60 hours part that is hard.
