x1957x
Any ideas on why my heater fan quit? Has heat etc. But wont blow harder as i turn it up. All fuses are good. Maybe a fan relay?
Jeremy airjer W
Does it turn on at all? What happens if you give it a good whack?

Jeremy airjer W
The ford diagnostic tool... whack the blower with the handle end of a screwdriver with the blower speed set to high, and the key on. If the blower starts working replace it. If it still doesn't work check power and ground. One of the two is missing or you didn't whack it hard enough. Also these are notorious for burning up connections at the blower resistor/module. A good visual inspection will confirm that possibility. x1957x
Tzach
I just went through this. 1ST check for melted connections, mine were bad at the blower. If they are good pull them off and use a vex battery or a deep cycle and some wire to jump the fan to see if it spins, if it does, fan is good. Could be resistor/relay also. I had to pull my dash because the wire harness that supplied power to the blower switch itself had a pin that had melted plastic on it. Scraped it, squeezed where the pin went in, added some electrical grease, good to go now. leech~~

Right now. I still believe its the high speed relay. Everyone i talked to thought resistor except me. Although it had no melted connections on plug when i put in new resistor. Thought the issue was solved but guess not. I did (WHACK), the blower motor and no change. Thanks for helping out guys.
x1957x
Does anyone know how to check the new resistor module to see if its weak? Ohm test maybe and what the ohms should be? Also, will the fan work on low if the high speed relay is bad? Got in a minute ago and working now again to. Thanks, Jeff
Jeremy airjer W
Jeff, did you ever get this resolved? I don't see a high speed relay for a 2012? There is a blower motor module. The module should have a full time battery and a full time ground. Then there will be a control wire. The control wire should vary voltage depending on the speed request. x1957x
Yes I did Jeremy. It was the resister module. Had some issues with my computer but back to being good again. THANK YOU ALL! Jeremy airjer W
