For those that don't live in Andover, those are those gloves you wear so you dont fry your hands when dealing with hot grates or cooking pans. good luck. Got a picture of those? Im still using the normal oven mitts and/or pot holders.

delcecchi
If you watch any cooking show on tv that has real chefs, they handle stuff with their fingers I would sure need tongs for. I guess if you get burned enough, you get immune (scar tissue?) 52 minutes ago, lovebigbluegills said: Got a picture of those? Im still using the normal oven mitts and/or pot holders. My buddy uses leather welding gloves when we go camping. I got one of these for xmas... Works pretty well.

bobberineyes
The meat thermometer sure is important, heck I have 3 old school ones that I never use 3 digital and the wireless one for smoking. I'm not sure if its our generation is dialing into better cooking, but my ma never has owned one. She never did much for grilling but looking back everything that was prepared was usually done to perfection. . lovebigbluegills

leechlake
as seen on tv sections are in various stores, Target, CVS etc. Items you see in informercial type things on tv. I used to buy one for my wife every Christmas just for fun. Some actually worked. That black spray stuff may have kept the Titanic from sinking. leechlake
while I could use that since I have light brown hair it may not work. Flex Seal is what I was talking about and you know it. Go grab an icicle off your gutter and doink yourself on the head.
delcecchi
Oh yeah, another valuable tool is a bottle opener, or a corkscrew, depending on wine or beer.
reinhard1
Have to say that Flex Seal is something I'm not impressed with. Try'd it on a very small seam on my gutter. Dried it ect. and sprayed it well on both sides. waited for it to dry for a day [85 deg. day]. Next time it rained it leaked. Still have part of that can. good luck. leechlake
we have this fountain on our dining room wall. The water drains up top onto a vertical stone piece and then drains into a pan at the bottom and gets sucked back up. When I installed the pan I drilled the screws below the water line. Obviously it leaked. Good old Flex Seal to the rescue and I think it's held for 3-4 years or so. It was just 2 screws so maybe thats it. reinhard1
