leechlake
I think my guess was 39-13 back a few weeks ago. Those triplets threw me off. I'm going to go look back and find my prediction.
leechlake
Good Morning. Last night as we ate the corned beef I was thinking that any first time cook could make a corned beef and look like a Rock Star. Throw it in the oven for 4 hours or so with liquid in it and it comes out tasty and perfect. What an easy meal. May skip the cabbage if it's one of the first date type meals. As I type I'm violating my being around the kids before school plan. Both are eating, son is just eating and my daughter is tired and throwing quiet snaps out at her loving family. We've got all four people and all three dogs in the kitchen, seems a little overwhelming at 630am. Wife's on my list today but I'm sure in short order the old switcharoo will happen and I will be in the wrong. Problem is it's a terrible time of the year to get divorced. Mid May through Mid November would be the best timing Dotch, lovebigbluegills, LindellProStaf and 1 other
RebelSS
It's morning...I think...so good morning. Now that that's out of the way, 30* and cloudy here. been up for an hour, I have no idea why. Used to getting up early, always have. "Early" used to mean 5:00 am; now it means anywhere between 6:00 and 7:00 AM. All those years rolling out at 4:45 AM took their toll, I think. See there's three slices of thick- smoked bacon left...looks like that with some sunny side up eggs and toast. I need some more coffee, I may revisit this thread later...if it's still about morning and not about the mating habits of the north american gopher or something. Here's a morning show to watch while ya have coffee...a midwest classic on WCCO. No wonder we kids turned to psychedelic things in the 60's....we had to watch a scandihoovian half-baked Adolf Hitler look-alike every morning while we stuffed our little faces with sugar blasted bowls of Cap'n Crunch and Sugar Smacks, so we could have a melt-down at school later that day. No wonder our Mothers's life-style inspired Mick's song about "running for the shelter of Mother's little helper"... reinhard1, lovebigbluegills, Dotch and 1 other
Popular Post smurfy
morning all. I guess I started the day out on a good note! I impressed our secretaries, well I always do, but more so today. I bought and brought in cold spring bakery donuts. Popular Post LindellProStaf
15 here. Calm thankfully. Everything is still white including the trees that haven't shed the snow yet. The creeks have refrozen but that won't last long. What a bummer. It was looking so nice and summery a few days ago. Oh well it is still March. On the positive front it is Friday. Happy about that. Those pastries sound good Smurfy. I love them but try to avoid them as much as I can. Therefore I really like them when I have them. LL, stay calm my friend. Sometimes things aren't as bad as they seem once a guy keeps calm and takes another look at it. I know it is hard for us expressive types to do that though. Good luck. No big plans for the weekend, I suppose I should put something on the grill or smoker. I will figure that out today or tonight. Have a good one. Always good to make contact with you. Popular Post Dotch
Ah, lotsa goodies on here today.Let's summarize: LL has a mid-life crisis going on thinking about the Kellogg's babe while Reb is having flashbacks from his youth. Have had both, many times I might add. Midlife crises and flashbacks, not Kellogg's babes. LPS sounds like he's afflicted with blood sugar issues (bummer but more sweets for me that way) and smurf is on meds. Think we all knew that, just weren't aware smurf was also taking blood sugar drugs too. Boar is getting ready to spread fertilizer even more than he normally does here. There. That about cover it? Nothing new on the lambing front today although it was a little more exciting last night. Mrs. Cheviot has been late getting home from work so I carry the load myself until she gets home. Had a ewe that was bred by accident (well I'm sure the ram did it on purpose) come in and the lamb had crawled in between a couple panels. Had to fish it out of there and make another pen for the ewe and lamb. Then just as I was finishing up graining the remaining ewes left to lamb I spied another ewe that snuck off and lambed out by the brush pile. Drat! Coax the ewe with the lamb back into the shelter of the lambing barn so we could pen her up and keep an eye on things. Got chores done, bedded critters, watered them and finally got in the house after 7. I feel like one of those plate twirlers they used to have on Ed Sullivan sometimes. After nights like these I need my meds: CR or juniper berry extract and quinine water. Several doses. Mrs. Cheviot's birthday mañana so am sure she will make another attempt (for naught I might add) to take advantage of me. I'm not that kind of girl! Suppose I should try to think of something other than the obvious for her birthday present. Some grilling on tap for Sunday as Mrs. Cheviot has some of her friends coming to help her stuff envelopes for a national summer sheep show for kids. Lamburgers again so will have to be creative. May look back through the annals here for some ideas to incorporate into my repertoire. At least the guests will appreciate my endeavors. Too bad they're not hot like the Kellogg's lady! lovebigbluegills, leechlake, Boar and 2 others

leechlake
I already had a mid life crisis. Maybe I'm having another on though...fair enough. Right now I'm living vicariously through you Dotch. I'm a sheep herder wanna be. Btw we're not doing to hot in the NCAA bracket right now but I'm sure we're going to gain some mojo as time goes on. Funny, I'd never watch a college hoops game but I do enjoy the tournament stuff. My eyes glaze over when it's 4-2 but once they game gets going it's pretty good tv.
