Good Morning!

Recommended Posts

Good Morning.  Last night as we ate the corned beef I was thinking that any first time cook could make a corned beef and look like a Rock Star.  Throw it in the oven for 4 hours or so with liquid in it and it comes out tasty and perfect.  What an easy meal.  May skip the cabbage if it's one of the first date type meals.

As I type I'm violating my being around the kids before school plan.  Both are eating, son is just eating and my daughter is tired and throwing quiet snaps out at her loving family.  We've got all four people and all three dogs in the kitchen, seems a little overwhelming at 630am.

Wife's on my list today but I'm sure in short order the old switcharoo will happen and I will be in the wrong.  Problem is it's a terrible time of the year to get divorced.  Mid May through Mid November would be the best timing :)

It's morning...I think...so good morning. Now that that's out of the way, 30* and cloudy here. been up for an hour, I have no idea why. Used to getting up early, always have. "Early" used to mean 5:00 am; now it means anywhere between 6:00 and 7:00 AM. All those years rolling out at 4:45 AM took their toll, I think. See there's three slices of thick- smoked bacon left...looks like that with some sunny side up eggs and toast. I need some more coffee, I may revisit this thread later...if it's still about morning and not about the mating habits of the north american gopher or something. Here's a morning show to watch while ya have coffee...a midwest classic on WCCO. No wonder we kids turned to psychedelic things in the 60's....we had to watch a scandihoovian half-baked Adolf Hitler look-alike every morning while we stuffed our little faces with sugar blasted bowls of Cap'n Crunch and Sugar Smacks, so we could have a melt-down at school later that day. No wonder our Mothers's life-style inspired Mick's song about "running for the shelter of Mother's little helper"...

15 here.  Calm thankfully.  Everything is still white including the trees that haven't shed the snow yet.  The creeks have refrozen but that won't last long.  What a bummer.  It was looking so nice and summery a few days ago.  Oh well it is still March.  On the positive front it is Friday.  Happy about that.  Those pastries sound good Smurfy.  I love them but try to avoid them as much as I can.  Therefore I really like them when I have them.  LL, stay calm my friend.  Sometimes things aren't as bad as they seem once a guy keeps calm and takes another look at it.  I know it is hard for us expressive types to do that though.  Good luck.

No big plans for the weekend, I suppose I should put something on the grill or smoker.  I will figure that out today or tonight.  Have a good one.  Always good to make contact with you.

Lindel, I hear ya on the aviding, especially since I take blood sugar meds...........but what da heck, ya only live once.

You may only live once but if you don't take care of yourself it might not be long.

I already had a mid life crisis.  Maybe I'm having another on though...fair enough.  Right now I'm living vicariously through you Dotch.  I'm a sheep herder wanna be.  Btw we're not doing to hot in the NCAA bracket right now but I'm sure we're going to gain some mojo as time goes on.  Funny, I'd never watch a college hoops game but I do enjoy the tournament stuff.  My eyes glaze over when it's 4-2 but once they game gets going it's pretty good tv.
