Coke Roast

I picked a nice looking chuck roast with nice marbling and not grizzle. Soaked it Coke for 24 hours and placed in the crock pot with a beer and onion soup mix. I flipped over once and it starting to fall apart. So excited to eat this roast in a couple more hours. Thank you everyone for all the tips.

I'm glad you've got a "fall apart" coming.  I remember my first one way back when...

My first "fall apart" one was a lot of years ago too, but man, was I proud of it!!!

I have had them before but we get ones that never fall apart about 3/4 are bad

A coke? How sweet is it when you do it this way? I really don't like-sweet meat!

I've never really noticed any real sweetness, just a good flavor. I think that cooks out. I did some digging and found this:

I have a cola pork rib recipe on my page with pics and step by step I did in the smoker.  I used Cherry Coke for that one.  We liked that one very much.  Haven't done a beef roast with coke yet but it sure sounds good.  good luck.
