Time for ice!!

Been ready for the ice since my last day on it back in March.  Auger gets turned on and flasher/UW camera batteries get charged once a month.  Eyeing what's new for gear for the upcoming season and making a wish list.  Wishing I was on the ice every time I mow.  This heat's a drag.  Bring on the winter!

while ice fishing isn't my favorite of my outdoor afflictions I am teetering on hating the heat.  I did see that my wife cleaned the garage last weekend and when she was moving my auger the cover came off and she leaned it in the corner blades down on the concrete.  May have an issue there and she may just be brilliant enough to let that be a sign that I should have helped clean the garage!   I think I can sharpen the blades faster than cleaning the garage though!!!

We can't skip October to get to ice fishing though.  It's the best month of the year for many reasons.

Try this. I just moved from colorado where ice season is two months Jan and Feb unless you want to travel 3 to 4 hours to the high country. So I move to MN and here only 6 weeks and already bought an ice castle. Thats not the worst of it. My kids have had more fun in it using it as their club house....While i sit here in front of the computer and dream of panfish walleye and pike through the ice.....HURRY UP WINTER!!!!!!!
