In the first outdoor green house picture I had some tomatoes in 6 inch pots in the picture. Here`s a picture of the tomatoes.

watermelon seeds are in their trays, now we will see what pops up here in a couple of weeks.

How did your watermelons turn out ?

I got plants! they both germinated and are now about 4-5 inches tall with their second set of leaves. They are a month old and have been in the greenhouse the last week. Of course we did go a week without sunshine so they could be bigger but all of them vine crops really take off when they want to. Still at least a week or more before I will move them to the outside containers. Wishing. have you put yours in the ground yet?

Put mine in last night. Trying 3 hills of Yellow Doll and planted 6 of my old standby Crimson Sweet.

How long do the vines grow....any chance in a pot?

Maybe if you had an old cattle water tank or something. The Crimson Sweet vines here usually spread in a 4' - 8' radius depending on the year and their location in the garden. Curious on the Yellow Doll how expansive those vines will get.

 .....and growing sideways!  That's kind of what I am looking for  Maybe will try a 25 gallon container as am lacking light and space. Or maybe will just continue to play the "is it sweet lotto" at the store.

​There`s about an acre of land here. I have a friend who has mega cucumbers in rows. I will snap a few more pictures one of these days.

Speaking of land for gardens,look along us52,in Rosemount area. Whole bunch of folks with truck patches and old tractors.
