Help! It's stuck

How come I didn't see any threads about how to get a stuck shack off the ice? Weren't any stuck? Seems like every year there are the pour a lot of salt, use a 30-30, you should have used....., or some variation. I am somewhat disappointed that the typical litany of bad ideas didn't show up.

I think the complete lack of snow has kept those issues to a minimum.

I'm a new Ice Castle owner. Do I need to block mine up for a day trip or overnight trip. I have the sport angler version so I'ts not as heavy and I won't be spending the weekend  on the ice.

No need to block for a day trip or overnight.

The only time you should need to block up is if you leave it out for a week with the heat off. Or if it is thinner ice and it pools water on top of it.

Thanks. We just moved from Colorado and there are no ice shacks on the water unless its a portable one. The season there is only 2.5 mos long if that. sometimes shorter. So my boys and I are excited to be on the ice longer up here in MN.

just a hint on blocking, if you block 4 iches up, those 9" hole sleeves fit perfectly without a need to cut them to an estimated size. Hey welcome to the forum!! I block mine everytime just for that.
