Anybody running a Strikemaster 1.5hp Solo Chipper Lite

Looking at buying one and cannot find any reviews online. Anybody on here own one? Can get a new one for under $300.

I bought one this year I would expect to pay around the 340 mark. If you can find a new one for under 300 buy it. I don't have any complaints other than it cuts slow. Although this is compared to my 9 inch 53cc with quantum blades. But the chipper works for what I bought it for. It is light and can reopen holes with ease. My eskimo was a pig to carry around. It seems like the solo eats up a lot of gas but its probably all in my head because it has a smaller tank on it.

I bought one at the ice fishing show, 309 with tax. I have my old lazer auger on it instead of the chipper. No complaints at all, but its new, so it should be good.

I called a couple places on this auger and one place has 11 in stock and hasn't sold one, $299 regular price $369.99, it's the place up in Walker. Another place I called is stocked up with these and they only sold 2, also $299.

Thanks for the feedback guys more than likely going to pull the trigger.

I bought the chipper lite and not very happy. Very Very loud and slowwww. Once you buy it, you cannot return.

I am running the jiffy pro 4 lite and very happy with it even though it's branded with a "lite" name, has plenty of power and speed for me. I'd try to not let that scare you.

I also do own a strike master lazer 7' hand augur and man do those work amazing. Just have to be careful with blades I see guys kinda walk with their augurs and I could see how that could throw off a pitch! I used mine the last 2 winters before this so I was acually using it when we had 2 ft of ice just had to take a break or two but not to bad those things cut like butter. If you only are looking to use it a few times a year I would highly consider this option,  espailly with our winters like this year!!

If you cut a lot of holes get a light auger-if you are not catching many fish start cutting a lot of holes.
