Granny
Has anyone came up with a home made way to store your spinnerbait's? I really hate to buy a new tackle box just for spinnerbaits. Thanks in advance,Granny
Lunker
I use a CD case, has a little slot for each bait and can hold a lot of baits. I like it, and its very compact.
taxmancommeth
Lunker - CD Case? The ones that travel with you in a car? With the pockets? I have heard of those for plastics but not spinner baits. You ahve anymore City lake reports? ------------------------------------GET-ER-DONE
EBass
I use a zippered worm bag, but have all my spinnerbaits in there. It works good as long as the spinnerbaits fits. I have about maybe 20 in there grouped in seperate bags (kinda like a zip lock bag on O-rings with 5-6 spinnerbaits per bag) I have a softsided tackle box with the storage compartments and it fits inside there nice n snug, so I don't have to carry it seperate. My buddy has a spinnerbait box which is cool, but takes up room and he forgets it sometimes. My .02 since you posted. Hey Granny, my neighbor has ground wasps under his siding. What do you recommend? (Might be a loaded Q - LOL) [This message has been edited by EBass (edited 08-20-2004).]
Granny
I like the idea of the CD case, but the wife is going to be [PoorWordUsage]ed when she notice's all her CD's laying on the floor. Ebass,Now that's a challange! What kind of siding is it? Which building and does he have insurance?
EBass
I believe it's wood. And I don't know how good his insurance is, it's his house. D'oh!
greggles
I have the falcon tackle spinnerbait case and I like it, it holds 30 and is pretty compact
blakjack23
Gregs, is that falcon the one that you kinda have to "pinch" the spinnerbaits together when you put them in? I saw one like that and was wondering if it messed up the spinnerbaits at all.------------------"There's nothing like a big bASS on the end of your ROD!" Goldenboy
The Falcon FTO box is what has risen to the top for me. After the zippered wraps, bags, hanging boxs, racks, etc. The Falcon box holds them super secure (no paint chips or blades tarnishing...)and the box size fits in with the sizes already in my duffel bag, dividers in the boat storage compartments, or the rack of supplemental boxes in the back of my truck. Heck the boxes are less than buying two spinnerbaits these days....
wormburner
As I was reading down the posts, the Falcon Storage Box came right to mind, and then I see someone mentioned it, my buddy has one for spinner baits and another for buzz baits, they work slick!------------------Good Luck To All, Wormburner!Buy a trailer, help support my fishing habit!bstenberg@dahlketrailer.com
Dan Wood
I use the Plano spinnerbait box - it could be bigger, but it probably holds 50 baits or so. Pretty much the basic spinnerbait box, but it does have some handy storage boxes and storage on top for trailer hooks, etc.. It locks them down on top so they don't get jumbled and keeps them pretty neat..
sami0115
i also use a "cd case" style bag for spinnerbaits. i forgot who makes it but it is very compact and works great.
greggles
blackjack, I throw alot of titanium baits cause they last longer but the wire baits are not bent at all as far as I can tell.
BigMike
I use a plano stowaway designed to hold spinnerbaits in my softside bag, I don't really like it all the much because they aren't held in tight and occasionally will tangle with each other, but it does the trick for what I need. One thing I also found was that if you have an extra plano stowaway box (ie 3600 or 3700) and take a dremmel type tool and drill slanted slots down the permanent dividers and space them out enough for spinnerbaits. I haven't done it but have seen it done and it works pretty well.------------------MikeTJ Tackle Pro-Staff[This message has been edited by BigMike (edited 09-02-2004).]
