How wide to cut your spearing hole?

Usually cut mine 2x3.5 or so.

Roughly 2 x 3 seemed to be sufficient; then today Merk helped me cut hole...

3 x 5 is nice too.

2.5x4 is my normal,some times a bigger hole gives you more room for problems though.

As big as I can make it and still have room in the house. My current house is 4x8 with a 2'x4' hole. Spot to sit on each side of the hole.
